Marco Island sits at the southern edge of Florida’s Paradise Coast, just south of Naples and along the Gulf of Mexico. Surrounded by water, nature preserves, and scenic roadways, the island offers a relaxed setting that’s easy to reach and easy to explore.
Connected to the mainland by a single main access road, Marco Island is straightforward to get to whether you’re driving from nearby cities or arriving by air. Once you’re here, everything feels close — beaches, trails, dining, and outdoor spaces are all within a short ride or walk.
Getting Here by Road
From I-75 (Alligator Alley)
Take Exit 101 onto Collier Boulevard (SR 951) and continue south approximately 18 miles directly to Marco Island.
From I-95 North of Lake Okeechobee
Take I-4 West or SR-70 West to I-75 South, then continue to Exit 101 (Collier Boulevard).
From I-95 South of Lake Okeechobee
Take I-595 West, then merge onto I-75 North toward Naples/Tampa. Stay on I-75 (Alligator Alley) to Exit 101.
From Miami
Marco Island can be reached without passing through the city by following the historic Tamiami Trail (US 41 / SR 90). This scenic two-lane road travels through the Everglades and is best driven during daylight hours. Turn left onto San Marco Road and follow signs to Marco Island.

Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW)
Located in Fort Myers, just off I-75 at Exit 128. From RSW, take I-75 South to Exit 101, then follow Collier Boulevard to Marco Island.

Located about 21 miles from Marco Island, offering general aviation services and charter flights.
Marco Island Airport (MRK)
Located approximately 6 miles from the island center, serving private and general aviation.
Orlando International Airport (MCO)
From Orlando, take I-4 West to I-75 South, then Exit 101 to Marco Island.

Take I-275 South to I-75 South, then Exit 101.

Take I-595 West to I-75 North (Alligator Alley) to Exit 101, then south on Collier Boulevard to Marco Island.
